I started playing drums when i started secondary school where it seemed to take over everything that i wanted to do, i was in the school orchestra, percussion groups then after a year and a half moved up to the Teesvalley Youth Orchestra wher i spent many a tour of Europe lugging what seemed at the time very large Timpani!!

Whilst at secondary school in the percussion group we were finalists in the National Music For Youth Competition and played in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Royal Albert Hall.

As i progressed i started to play for orchestras around the county as a guest performer and soloist in tuned percussion.

Whilst in my late teens i was leader of a local drumming group who played in the Stockton International Festival. As leader of the group we also went to Paris for the millenium and played in the celebrations there and to Brest in the south of France for a festival there. With Community spirit playing a vital role in the group in Stockton the age range varied which is what i am hoping for in the different regions of the country that drumming around will cover and hopefully everyother month the groups will all meet up for a loud jamming session!!

I am currently in my final few weeks of University in Hull Studying History.

This summer will see the start of Drummingaround in several locations so hopefully you will be a part of what will be a hectic, rewarding summer and longer!!
